Cho’Gall’s Cho-Choco Donuts

Cho’Gall’s Cho-Choco Donuts

  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup flour

  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • Sprinkles

Preparation/Cooking Process:

Preheat the oven to 350 F and lightly grease a mini donut pan and set aside. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, then add the egg and vanilla. When those are incorporated, mix in the cinnamon and cocoa powder. Add the milk, baking powder, salt and flour and beat until you have a nice mixture.

Fill each donut depression half full. Thats very important because when they bake, they will grow double in size so don’t make the same mistake as me to fill them to the top because you will have to cut out some of the donut later to get them in proper shape.

Bake the donuts until ready and let them cool.

While the donuts are cooling combine the confectioner’s sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla. Gradually add just enough milk to make a thick but pourable consistency. Once the donuts are cool, dip them in the glaze and then turn upright. Add sprinkles before the glaze dries.
