Delicious Chocolate Cake


  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 4 ounces white baking chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • raspberries for garnish

Filling and frosting

  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • Whipped cream
  • Green food coloring

Preparation/Cooking Process:

Begin by making the frosting that needs to chill. Break up half of the chocolate into a medium bowl. Heat half of the cream into a small saucepan and put the chocolate pieces. Stir carefully until the chocolate has dissolved and you have a nice mixture. Leave it to chill.

Preheat the oven to 350 F and prep two 8-inch-round cake pans by greasing them. In a small saucepan melt the other half of the chocolate in a hot water. Set aside to cool and in a large bowl cream the butter and sugar. Mix in the eggs and vanilla, then alternate the dry ingredients with the buttermilk. Finally fold in the melted white chocolate.

Pour the batter into the prepared pans and bake for about 30 mins or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean. Allow the layers to cool for about 10 minutes and then gently move them to a rack. Leave the layers to cool completely while preparing the filling and frosting.

After chilling the white chocolate and cream mixture whip it with the rest of the cream until you have a fluffy mixture. Then divide the whipped cream into 3 parts with 1 being double the quantity of the other two. The bigger one will remain white. The other 2 will be colored. 1 with the red food die and the other one will be mixed with the raspberries.

When the filling frosting and filling and all the layers are ready, put everything on the table and start by putting some of the white wiped cream on the bottom layer. Then add the raspberry filling, then another while layer. Then put the other baked layer and put more white cream. Then put the green frosting on top and decorate with the fresh raspberries.
