What else could these dwarfs have that goes well with beer.
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2-3 thinly sliced shallots
- Pinch of salt
- 15 ounce can of haggis
- 1 tablespoon flour
- One 12-ounce beer
- several slices of bread
- 1 cup shredded cheddar
- salt and pepper
We actually didn’t use haggis since it’s nowhere to be found in our country, but we have our own similar delicacy called “bahur” so we used that instead.
Melt the butter into a frying pan, and add the shallots, cook till soft and add the haggis afterwards spiced with salt and pepper.
When you’re done with the butter add in the meat and heat it well then work in the flour till it has been absorbed pour in a 3rd of the beer, the mixture has to get soft and thick. Depending on your preference add a bit more beer for a more watery texture.
Finally, divide the haggis evenly and spread it onto slices of bread, top it with the sliced cheddar and place it for heating somewhere to melt it.
Once ready, top in with a pinch of salt or any spice of your preference goes well beer and pickles too, enjoy!
